WELCOME BACK ’80s FASHION!
I am so glad that the 80s are back. Although I am not a big fashionista, but I loved those days when I was a teen and glitter was all around me! And the music was so awesome, and the people were so much more tolerant.
I don’t think there is an era’s style so loved and hated at the same time but if you look at everything popular today it all comes down to the period from 1980 to 1989.
Designers have embraced the 80s in the form of shell suits, banana clips and shoulder pads, but it doesn’t work for everyone and everywhere. You’ve gotta be careful about it.
Star Wars movies are trendy again, music has a lot of pop sound in it, glittery outfits are back in fashion and it seems like I’m in heaven. I can put on my teen jeans jacket and wear it off like a trend 🙂
How to wear the 80’s?
It is not difficult to imitate the 80’s but their return didn’t come in the full but more like in details.
The big hair and colorful make up are all over runways, but it certainly won’t be well received on your workplace…so think Duran Duran and Boy George but don’t go so excessive.
You can still wear beuatiful leather jackets from that period and accessorize it with colorful bracelets and awesome hair and it can be all you need.
Legwarmers, high-cut spandex, neon colors… it’s all back!
Going for 80’s can be a risky look to wear because you must look you’re into that style and not like you’re going to a costume party.
You mustn’t overdo your look!
Use colorful eye makeup pulled out in shades of purple, blue, and green for a night out and sparkle it with some glitter.
Wear T-shirts with colorful applications and don’t be afraid to by one of neon orange or yellow – you may wear it on your jeans and snickers and you are all done.
There are great online clothes shop with awesome 80’s T-shirts and other clothing and accessorizes such as badges and clips earings.
Any modern jeans will go well with 80’s fashion, especially if it’s a little paler in color.
If you like metallic glasses go with the flow and buy yourself a pair.
Wide belts were very popular in the 80’s and you can combine them with great dresses and shirts. And if you combine this belts with dresses and shirts of jeans, you aced!
If you like glitter use it carefully: pick just one item to be shiny and in focus, and you can keep everything else simple…
Amuse yourself with 80’s because who knows how long this trend will last, and you won’t be able to have hair and make-up as Madonna!
